The peas produce!
When Jon and I arrived back from Europe we were delighted to see the peas had yielded lots of pods! Pics below. We've been snacking on the odd one here and there but I'm going to serve them as an official side for dinner tonight.

This weekend's progress
Waaay back in April over the Anzac day long weekend I pulled up all the weeds in the garden, dug up the soil and bit and put a layer of pea straw down and dug in some pony poo.
Not long after that we had peas sprouting out of the soil until last weekend it was looking like this:
Yesterday Jon and I pulled out the peas, and the few weeds that were there. Mostly they were grass that had shot out of the pony poo. The soil was quite moist and the mulch had done an excellent job.
After!
These are the peas we pulled out...
And the ones we left.
Today Jon and I assembled the raised beds, and we're about to dig some gypsum into the soil because it is super-clay.
Hooray!
- dill and thyme
- potato seeds
